2 KINGS 5
Pastor Rick Jackson
I. HE SEEMED TO BE A WINNER
1. He Had Great Accomplishments [v. 1a]
2. He Had Great Affliction [v. 1b]
3. He Had Great Aspirations [v. 4-6]
II. HE SUSTAINED GREAT LOSSES
1. He Lost His Cool [v. 10-12]
2. He Lost His Pride [v. 13-14a, Proverbs 16:18, 27:6]
-Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit
before a fall.
-Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an
enemy are deceitful.
3. He Lost His Leprosy [v. 14b]
III. HIS SALVATION WAS OF GOD [He went from being a
loser to being a winner]
1. The People of God Were Instrumental in this Change [v.
2-3, 7]
2. The Promises of God Were Indispensable in this Change [v.
8-10]
3. The Potential of God’s Working In Him Can Solidify the
Change [v. 15-19, 2 Corinthians 5:17]
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
