"All Israel shall be saved" see why and when

by Sumner Wemp

The time of Jacob's trouble

One of the names of the Tribulation is "the time of Jacob's trouble" Jer. 30:7. All through the prophets you read that God is going to afflict Israel, beat the stew out them if you please, "until they acknowledge their offense (of rejecting their Messiah) and seek my face: In their affliction, they will seek me early, (earnestly) Hos. 5:15.

I will purge out the rebels

Read the whole 20th chapter of Ezekiel and in verse 38, God tells, "I will purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am the LORD." Once again in the context of the tribulation period God says, "All the sinners of My people will die by the sword, those who say, 'The calamity will not overtake or confront us" Amos 9:10. Finally God says, "It will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy--everyone who is recorded for life in Jerusalem" (those that endure to the end) Isa. 4:3.

The believing remnant of Israel

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. "Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! "For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!" Matt; 23:37-39. Still talking to and about Israel, Jesus said, "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and ye shall be hated of all nations (Gentiles)... But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved " 13. Only the believing remnant of Israel shall remain, endure to the end, and then "all Israel shall be saved." The whole context of Matt. 24 is clear they are talking about the Great Tribulation.

Jesus wept over Jerusalem

We should pray over Jerusalem, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper who love you" Ps. 122:6. Pray like Paul, who said, "Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation" Rom.10:1. God said it, "you will prosper!  " Don't be blinded by false teaching. He is not talking about prospering financially but spiritually.
O dear people, we must get in on what God is doing. He is doing all He can to get the gospel to "every creature." We must do all we can to get the gospel to the very last person. It has been my joy to lead many people to Christ here in America who said, "I never heard it like that before." And they are talking about the gospel, that Christ died for our sins, paid our debt in full and rose again.

Prayer:  Father bless your dear people reading this and help us to love Israel, pray for them and share the good news with them. In Jesus name.
