Here we will see 3 big mistakes made by Haman. But the mistakes of Haman were the same as those of Pharaoh, Hitler, and if they are not careful- modern politicians as well.

I. HE THOUGHT POSITION WAS MOST IMPORTANT

1, God is Not Impressed with Man’s Position [v. 1-2]

2. Haman was Easily Manipulated [v. 3-4, 2 Corinthians 2:11]

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

3. Haman allowed His Emotions to Rule Him [v. 5, Proverbs 25:28]

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

II. HE THOUGHT THE JEWS WERE UNIMPORTANT

1. It is a Mistake to Discount God’s Promises [Gen, 12:1-3, Gal. 3:16-18]

2. It is a Mistake to Discount God’s Prophets [Rm. 3:1-3, 9]

3. It is a Mistake to Discount God’s People [Rm. 9:3-5]

III. HE THOUGHT HE WAS IN CHARGE

1. His Gall [3:6]

2. His Gloating [5:9-12]

3. His Guilt [5:13-14, 6:11-14, 7:6, 9-10]

Character is more important than position, the Jews are very important in God’s economy, Gods rules not man.

PSALM 96
