Hebrews 12:1-4

In the Football Hall of Fame the common denominator of all the people represented is football, in the Baseball Hall of Fame its baseball, and so on. In the Hall of Faith you might think the common denominator of all the people represented therein is faith, but you would be wrong, the common denominator of all the people represented in the Hall of Faith is Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! Without Him there would be nothing.
I. OUR RESPONSIBILITY [v. 1]
1. Lay aside Every Weight
2. Lay aside Every Sin
3. Run with Patience
II. OUR SAVIOUR [v. 2]
1. Jesus is the Author of our Salvation [2:10]
2. Jesus is the Finisher of our Salvation [John 19:30]
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
3. Jesus is the King of our Salvation [Hebrews 1:3, 8:1, 10:12]
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
III. OUR INSPIRATION [v. 3-4]
1. Contemplate what Jesus Did
2. Conquer weary Thoughts
3. Consider the Ultimate [Revelation 2:10]
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
