JOHN 13-33, 36-14:6

There are many things I could say today that you would soon forget but I want to draw your attention to the Word of God and if you try these things can give you strength and help not only today but for the rest of your life. For these are not the word of some preacher but the Words of the Lord Jesus Himself concerning the place called Heaven.

Jesus had been with the disciples for about 3 years now and often times they were with Him 24/7. They had grown to depend upon His presence, to enjoy His company, to rely upon His wisdom. They looked to Him when they faced death from a storm at sea, hunger from a hungry crowd, accusations from religious groups, or their own inability to do something they should have been able to do… but couldn’t. Once Jesus asked them if they would leave Him as others had and [John 6:68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

And now Jesus says, I’m leaving! [13:33, 36-38] and then he gives Peter even more bad news.

1. Heaven is an Assured Place [v. 1] even for a sinning Christian like Pete!

2. Heaven is an Abundant Place [v. 2a]

3. Heaven is a Distant Place [v. 2b-3]

4. Heaven is a Prepared Place [v. 2c]
-
5. Heaven is a Populated Place [v. 3]
-
6. Heaven is a Reserved Place [v. 4-6]

Invitation to accept the blessed Saviour [at least 4 adult men let it be known they were trusting Christ during the service. To God be the glory, great things He hath done!]
