Rick Jackson

I. GOD WANTS TO ADJUST OUR ATTITUDE TOWARD HIM (JONAH 2)

1. Affliction should cause us to seek Him (V. 1-3, Rev. 6:12-17)

2. Faith should cause us to trust Him (v. 4-7, Rm. 10:17)

3. Truth should cause us to submit to Him (v. 8-10)
---[God wants our "I won't"s to be "I will"s]

II. GOD WANTS TO ADJUST OUR ATTITUDE TOWARD HIS WORD (JONAH 3)

1. With the presentation of the Word (v. 1-4)

2. With the power of the Word (v. 5-9)
---[Note-they knew what they deserved but they desired mercy & grace and got it!]
---[The wages of sin is NOT repentance]

3. With the promise of the Word (1:10, 2:9)

III. GOD WANTS TO ADJUST OUR ATTITUDE TOWARD OTHERS (JONAH 4)

1. Seen in Jonah's anger over conversion (v. 1-4)
