Pastor Rick Jackson
Have we gotten something
backward? Have we missed something? When it is your birthday who gets the
presents?
Who gets the recognition? Pardon
me- but who gets the glory?
I. CHRISTMAS IS JESUS’
BIRTHDAY. HE IS THE SACRIFICE. GIVE HIM YOUR SINS.
Myrrh. Is. 7:14, 9:6-7, 53:1ff Therefore the Lord himself
shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and
shall call his name Immanuel. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no
end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The
zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
II. CHRISTMAS IS JESUS’
BIRTHDAY. HE IS THE KING. GIVE HIM YOUR SERVICE.
Gold. Rm. 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to
this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
III. CHRISTMAS IS
JESUS’ BIRTHDAY. HE IS THE ALMIGHTY GOD. GIVE HIM YOUR SELF.
Frankincense. Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD
thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
