Nehemiah 8:10 …the joy of the LORD is your strength.

 

I. THE MESSAGE OF JOY [v. 1-11]

 

1. It is a Heavenly Message [v. 9-14]

2. It is a Universal Message [v. 10]

3. It is an Evangelistic Message [v. 10, 19:10]

euaggelizo- to announce good news ("evangelize") especially the gospel:--declare, bring  glad (good) tidings

 

II. THE MASTER OF JOY

 

1. The Fountain of Joy [v. 11] – God come in the flesh

2. The Foundation of Joy [v. 11, Micah 5:2] – God’s Holy Word

3. The Fellowship of Joy [v. 11-14, 10:20] – We can know Him

 

III. THE MANNER OF JOY

 

1. The Joy is Verifiable [v. 15-16]

2. The Joy is Sharable [v. 17-18]

3. The Joy is Non-circumstantial [v. 19-20] did they become rich? Get new jobs? Were they glad?
