SOMEBODY BETTER

Hebrews 1:4, 7:7, 19, 22; 8:6, 9:23, 11:16, 35, 40; 12:24

Pastor Rick Jackson

I. GOD KNOWS BETTER

1. He Knows Each Person [Ps. 139:1-16, Luke 12:7]

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

2. He Knows Every Situation [Isaiah 46:10]

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

3. He Knows Every Need [Matthew 6:8]

for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

II. GOD CARES BETTER

1. He Cares for People [1 Peter 5:7]

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

2. He Cares About Their Circumstances [Mark 4:38-39]

Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

3. He Cares About Their Future [Jude 1:24]

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy

III. GOD DOES BETTER

1. He Has the Plan [Genesis 50:20]

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

2. He Has the Patience [2 Peter 3:9-15]

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

3. He Has the Power [2 Corinthians 12:9]

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
