SHOW US THE FATHER!

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, shew us the Father?

JOHN 6:1-15

I. HOW JESUS IS LIKE GOD THE FATHER

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

2. JESUS KNOWS WHAT HE WILL DO [v. 6]

Isaiah 14:27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Romans 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

3. JESUS KNOWS US [v. 2, 15]

Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
John 2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

II. WHAT JESUS LIKES TO DO

1. JESUS LIKES TO HELP US GROW [v. 5-6, 2 Peter 1:1-9, 3:18]

2. JESUS LIKES TO PRAY [v. 11, 15]

Mark 6:46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

3. JESUS LIKES TO MEET OUR NEEDS TOTALLY [v. 11-12a]

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

III. WHAT JESUS LIKES

1. FAITH [v. 8]

Luke 7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

2. ORDER [v. 10]

Luke 9:14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

3. SERVICE [v. 11-13]

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
