I. HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH YOURSELF [v. 1-2]

1. Who Should You Praise? [v. 1a, Psalm 147:1]

Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

2. Who Should Praise? [v. 1b, Psalm 33:1]

Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

3. When Should You Praise? [v. 2]

 

II. HAVE A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS

1. The Limitations of Mankind [v. 3-4]

2. The Lord’s My Help and My Hope [v. 5, Is. 50:9]

- Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

3. The Lord’s Might [v. 6, 121:1-2]

-I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

 

III. HAVE FAITH IN GOD [Mark 11:22, Jn. 14:1]

-And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

- Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

 

1. He Loosens Our Bonds [v. 7]

2. He Loves His Children [v. 8-9, Jn. 1:12]

3. He Lives Forever [v. 10]

 

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,

  Lift up your voice and sing

Eternal hallelujahs

  To Jesus Christ the King!

The Hope of all who seek Him,

  The Help of all who find,

None other is so loving,

  So good and kind.

 

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
