PSALM 146

I. BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS… [v. 1-4]

 

1. Praise the Self-Existent One [v. 1]

 

2. Praise the God You Can Know Personally [v. 2]

 

3. Trust the Eternal God Not Temporal Men [v. 3-4]

 

II. BECAUSE OF WHAT WE FIND IN HIM… [v. 5]

 

1.  Happiness [v. 5, John 13:17]

If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

 

2. Help [v. 5, Heb. 4:16]

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

 

3.  Hope [v. 5, Romans 15:13, Col. 1:27, 1 Pet. 1:3]

-Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

- To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
