I. DON’T BE IGNORANT OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IN RELATION TO ITSELF [v. 15-19]

 

1. There is the Danger of Minimization [v. 15-16, 1-7]

 

2. There is the Danger of Maximization [v. 17, 8-14]

 

3. There is the Direction of the Master [v. 18-19, 3-14 noting the work of God in all this]

 

II. DON’T BE IGNORANT OF PARTS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IN RELATION TO OTHER PARTS [v. 20-27]

 

1. Be Aware of the Pride of Negativism [v. 20-21]

 

2. Be Aware of the Power of Necessity [v. 22-23]

 

3. Be Aware of the Practicality of Unity [v. 24-27]

 

III. DON’T BE IGNORANT OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IN RELATION TO THE HEAD

 

What a strange and sad thing it is when a body will not obey the head. A horrible illness to say the least.

 

1. The Head has Preeminence [Colossians 1:18]

 

2. The Head has Power [Rm. 1:16, Eph. 5:17-23]

 

3. The Head has Purpose [Eph. 5:24-33]
