WHY GOD DOES NOT ANSWER SOME PRAYERS (2)

Psalm 81:10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Pastor Rick Jackson

God wants us to pray and God wants to answer our prayers. The Bible is full of encouragements and even commands to pray. We need to pray. Go enjoys answering prayer. We enjoy getting what we pray for. And yet- sometimes when we pray it seems as though the Heavens are brass and our prayers rise no higher than the ceiling. How often when men do not get their prayers answered they blame God. More often than not it is men’s fault. What hinders God’s answers to our prayers? We looked at 5 things last week, lets look at several more:

God may not answer some prayers due to:

1. REBELLION [I Sam. 13:7-14, 15:22-23

2. INDIFFERENCE TO GOD’S WORD [Proverbs 28:9]

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

3. COVETOUSNESS & ROBBING GOD [Malachi 3:7-10, Colossians 3:5]

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

4. NOT RIGHT WITH THE BRETHREN [Mt. 5:23-24]

5. UNBELIEF OR IMPATIENCE [Hebrews 11:6]

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

6. WRONG MOTIVES [James 4:1-3]

7. NOT RIGHT WITH SPOUSE [I Pt. 3:1-7]
