II. THE RECORD ON WHICH WE FEED [v. 3]

2. Inspiration [v. 3b, 2 Pet. 1:21]

3. Contention [v. 3c] “striving”-Col. 1:29, “laboring fervently”=Col. 4:12

 

III. THE ROOT WHICH WE HEED [v. 3] “once” means “once for all” Heb. 9:26, 28; 1 Pet. 3:18

 

“The Faith” is summed up in I Cor. 15:1-4. These are Fundamental.

 

1] Salvation by the Gospel- plus nothing & minus nothing [1 Cor. 15:1-2, Rm. 1:16]

2] The Only Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ [1 Cor. 3, 2 Jn. 7-11= virgin born, sinless, God Incarnate]

3] Christ’s Substitutionary Death [1 Cor. 15:3, 1 Peter 3:18, 2 Peter 2:1, Jude 4]

4] The Sinfulness of Man [1 Cor. 15:3, 1 John 1:8-10, Mk. 2:17]

5] The Scriptures [1 Cor. 15:3-4, 2 Tm. 3:16]

6] Christ’s Bodily Resurrection [1 Cor. 15]
