THE POWER OF BEING SINGLE-MINDED*

JOHN 9

Pastor Rick Jackson

I. THE MESSAGE OF THE SINGLE-MINDED [John 9]

1. The Message of God’s Saviour [Jn. 9:25]

2. The Message of God’s Salvation [1 Corinthians 2:1-6, Rm. 1:16]

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

3. The Message of God’s Security [1 Peter 1:5]

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

II. THE PURPOSE OF THE SINGLE-MINDED [Phil. 3:13-14]

1. It is a Purpose that Forgets the Past

2. It is a Purpose that Focuses on the Present

3. It is a Purpose that Forges the Future

III. THE NEED OF THE SINGLE-MINDED [Luke 10:38-42]

1. It is a Need that Supersedes Others

2. It is a Need that Solicits Choice

3. It is a Need that Satisfies Christ
