Quotes of the week!

The central question of the Chicago conference was whether the mechanisms underlying microevolution can be extrapolated to explain the phenomena of macroevolution. At the risk of doing violence to the positions of some people at the meeting, the answer can be given as a clear, No. -Roger Lewin, "Evolutionary Theory Under Fire" Science, 11-21-1980

The quote above came from a major conference in 1980, at which many of the world's greatest evolution spokesmen were present. The question they debated was "Are mutation and natural selection enough?" They concluded "no," that these mechanisms were insufficient to bring about true evolutionary change. But what became of it? Nothing! The conclusions have been systematically ignored, and evolutionists continue to claim that all questions have been solved.
They have no better mechanism to suggest, so they simply act as if nothing is wrong, and students are misled into thinking evolution is proven. -John D. Morris, Feb. 2007, ICR letter

We ought to be cautious of people whose minds are like concrete---thoroughly mixed and permanently set. -Unknown

He (God) may not always resolve circumstances the way we think is best, but He always resolves them in the way that is best. Sometimes we are overly concerned about solving our problems, when God is primarily concerned about solving us. ...That thorny experience taught Paul a lesson. He learned that God is as powerful to sustain a believer as He is to solve a problem. -James T. Dyet, Complete In Christ

Satan is so deceptive! He likes to borrow Christian vocabulary, but he does not use the Christian dictionary! -Warren W. Wiersbe, Be Complete.
