2. Make it a Day of Humble Reflection [v. 1] “I can’t handle this but I know Someone who can”

3. Make it a Day of Hopeful Petition [v. 2-5]

 

II. THE DAY OF DECISION [v. 6-19]

1. Will You Take God’s Word? [v. 6-7]

2. Will You take the World’s Word? [v. 8-13]

3. Will You take Your Burden to the Lord? [v. 14-19, Hebrews 4:16]

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

 

III. THE DAY OF DETERMINATION [v. 20-37]

1. The Answer of God to the Believer [v. 20, Jeremiah 29:11]

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

2. The Answer of God to the Unbeliever [v. 21-34, John 3:18, 36, 1 John 5:10]

-He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

-He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

-He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
