Proverbs 31:10, 26, 30 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. …She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. …Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Pastor Rick Jackson
Some people, men and women, seem to think that women are not
very wise. They can tell you stories of silly women to supposedly prove their
point. The only thing they prove is that there have been a lot of silly women.
Do not the Scriptures say in 2 Timothy 3:6 “For of this sort are they which
creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with
divers lusts”?
Well, of course it does. But read the context. There are
silly women and there are devious men. By the same token, there are silly men
and devious women. This does not mean they are not godly wise folk in both
genders. Many are the times that I have been helped by the counsel of good
godly women with common sense, yes, with sanctified sense. And so had King
David.
