1 Chronicles 16:8, 34

Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul

Thank you, Lord, for making me whole

Thank you, Lord, for giving to me

Thy great salvation so rich and free

 

I. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR SAVING MY SOUL!

1. From Sin’s Dominion [Psalms 19:13, Romans 6:14]

-Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

-For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

2. From Satan’s Destruction [Ps. 103:2-4, Luke 22:31-32]

- Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

- And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

3. From Self’s Degradation [2 Timothy 3:13, Jude 15]

-But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

- To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Like the song says:

Jesus My Lord Will Love Me Forever,

From Him No Power Of Evil Can Sever,

He Gave His Life To Ransom My Soul,

Now I Belong To Him;

Now I Belong To Jesus

Jesus Belongs To Me,

Not For The Years Of Time Alone,

But For Eternity.

 

Once I Was Lost In Sin’s Degradation,

Jesus Came Down To Bring Me Salvation,

Lifted Me Up From Sorrow And Shame,

Now I Belong To Him;

II. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR MAKING ME WHOLE

1. From Death Unto Life [John 5:24]

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

2. From Darkness Unto Light [Col. 1:12-13]

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

3. From Satan unto God [Acts 26:17-18]

I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

 

III. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR GIVING TO ME, THY GREAT SALVATION SO RICH AND FREE

1. Riches of His Grace [Ephesians 1:7]

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

2. Riches of His Mercy [Ephesians 2:4]

But God, who is rich in mercy…

3. Riches of His Love [Ephesians 2:4]

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us.
