1 Corinthians 12:25-31

I. THE UNIQUENESS OF YOU
1. From the Womb [Gn. 25:23, Ps. 139:13, Is.
44:2, 24, 49:5, Jer.1:5, Lk. 1]
- And the
LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall
be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the
other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
- For thou
hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
- Thus saith
the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee;
Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen…
-Thus saith
the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD
that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth
abroad the earth by myself;
-And now,
saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob
again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the
eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
- Before I
formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the
womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
2. By Your
Natural Abilities [Ex. 35:35, Jeremiah 10:9, Daniel 1:4]
-Them hath
he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver,
and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in
scarlet , and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work,
and of those that devise cunning work.
- Silver
spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of
the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their
clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
- Children
in whom was no blemish , but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and
cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in
them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and
the tongue of the Chaldeans.
3. By Your
Spiritual Gifts [2 Cor. 12:1-11]
II. THE
UNIQUENESS OF YOUR TIME
1. The
Given Time [Esther 4:14]
For if thou
altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and
deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's
house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom
for such a time as this?
2. The
Knowing Times [1 Chronicles 12:32]
And of the
children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to
know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their
brethren were at their commandment.
3. Redeeming the Time [Eph. 5:16, Col. 4:5]
- Redeeming
the time, because the days are evil.
- Walk in
wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time
III. THE UNIQUENESS OF YOUR PLACE
1. Your Habitation
[Dt. 12:5, Acts 17:26]
- But unto
the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put
his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt
come:
- And hath
made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth,
and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their
habitation;
2. Your Home
[Mark 5:18-20]
And when he
was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him
that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him,
Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for
thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in
Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
3. Your
Field [Acts 1:8]
But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
