I. SOME ARE TROUBLED UNNECESSARILY [Luke 2:10-11, 14]

1. Herod was a Troubled Man [Mt. 2:1-3, Ps. 2]

2. Herod was a Premeditated Prevaricators [v. 4, 7-8, Jn. 8:44, 14:6, 17:17]

3. Herod was a Merciless Murderer [v. 12-18]

II. SOME NEED TO BE TROUBLED MORE [Mt. 2:4-6]

1. Chief Priests & Scribes had the Truth in Their Heads [James 1:22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

2. Chief Priests & Scribes had the Truth in Their Hands [v. 5, Jn. 17:17]

3. Chief Priests & Scribes did NOT have the Truth in Their Hearts [Hebrews 4:2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

III. SATAN IS THE GREAT TROUBLER [Jn. 8:44]

1. Satan Hates the Incarnate Word [Mt. 4, Lk. 4]

2. Satan Hates the Inscripturated Word [Gn. 3]

3. Satan Hates the Entire World [1 Pet. 5:8]
