Sometimes we may forget the basics of prayer. In some cases, perhaps we never knew them. Prayer is practical. What could be more practical than seeking our heavenly Father’s face for help in time of need? What could be more practical than asking the Saviour to guide us? What could be more practical than beseeching the sweet Spirit of God to empower us? Practical praying isn’t just a good idea, it’s a must if we want to be the Christians He wants us to be.

I. WHAT IS AN ANSWER TO PRAYER?

1. What is Prayer? [Mark 11:24, James 4:1-3] “Prayer is asking”

2. What would be the Only True Answer to Asking for something? [James 4:2-3, Matt. 7:7-8] Receiving.

3. What aren’t Answers? [James 4:3, Jn. 11:41-45, 2 Co. 12:7-10 ] “No” & “Maybe” aren’t true answers in this sense.
