But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

3. His Insecurity [v. 9-12] v. 11 “father” = grandfather as in 2 Samuel 9:7, note the prophecy of Jer. 27:6-7 [history records Nabonidus was the natural, or paternal father of Belshazzar]
