| Job 9:32-33 "For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both." Our Daysman Has God blessed you? How has God blessed you? If you only base your answer on the balance in your checking account or the number of things you possess, you might have a problem! Consider Job. By Job 8, he has lost his money, his family, his house, and his cattle. In our minds (and in the minds of Job's friends), if we have things, God must love us; and if we have nothing, God must dislike us. Instead of looking for a reason, look for a Person. If you will find the Person to serve, no matter if the reason to serve is immediately evident, you can have peace and power in your life. Job couldn't see God, understand God, or even answer any of God's questions. What he needed was a "daysman," a go-between. Thank God for the Daysman, the Lord Jesus! Between a holy God and sinful man is the God-man. That is who Job needed to find, and that is who we need to find. I Timothy 2:5 says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus." God sent His Son to live in human form. We have a "daysman" to go between for us. Instead of looking for a reason for our lives' events, we ought look for the Person who has the world in His hands! You may not know every reason or every cause for what is happening in your life today, but you can know the God behind every situation. When you know God, that helps with everything else! Look for Him today instead of looking for a reason. |
