2 KINGS 18:1-8

I. DO RIGHT IN GOD’S SIGHT [v. 1-6]

 

1. Pattern your Life Appropriately [v. 1-3, 1st Corinthians 4:16, 11:1; Philippians 3:17; Hebrews 13:7]

 

2. Take Out the trash [v. 4a, 2 Chr. 7:14]

 

3. Call Things by the Right Name [v. 4b, Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!]

 

II. DO RIGHT GOD’S WAY [v. 5-6]

 

1. Trust God [v. 5, Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.]

 

2. Cleave to God [v. 6a, Deuteronomy 10:20, 11:22, 13:4]

 

3. Keep His Commandments [v. 6b, Matthew 22:34-40]

 

III. DO RIGHT & REAP THE BENEFITS [v. 7-8]

 

1. The Presence of the Lord [v. 7a, Matthew 28:20, Hebrews 13:5]

 

2. The Prosperity of the Lord [v. 7b, Joshua 1:7-8]

 

3. The Power of the Lord [v. 7c-8, James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:6-11]
