A TASTE OF HOPE

Pastor Rick Jackson

I. THE HOPE OF GLORY

1. A Glory we Access [Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.]

2. A Glory we Know [Ephesians 1:17-23]

3. A Glory Christ Provides [Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:]

II. THE HOPE OF BLESSEDNESS

1.  Bound in a Person [Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.]

2. Bound in a Work [1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,]

3.  Bound in a Future [Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;]

III. THE HOPE OF GOD [Romans 8:31 … If God be for us, who can be against us?]

1. God Around Us [Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.]

2. God Before Us [Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.]

3. God Behind Us [Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.]

4. God at Our Right Hand [Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.]

5. God at Our Left Hand [Job 23:9-10 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.]

6. God Above Us [Psalm 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.]

7. God Beneath Us [Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.]

8. God in Us [1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?]
