I. WHAT GOD?
1. The Powerful God [v. 8, read up on Elijah- you’ll see…]
The God that can withhold/give rain, provide sustenance
during famine, raise the dead, send fire, protect his servants…
2. The Personal God [v. 9-14, 1 Kings 18:36]
3. The Promise Keeping God [v. 10, 14; 1 Kings 18:31]
II. WHERE IS GOD?
1. God is Seated on
His Throne [v. 14]
Psalm 45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the
sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Psalm 47:8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon
the throne of his holiness.
2. God is Seeking His
Own [2 Chronicles 16:9]
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole
earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect
toward him.
3. God is Saving
Sinners [Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which
was lost.]
III. HOW DO I FIND
GOD?
1. A Godly Desire [v. 1-6, Phil. 3:7-8]
2. A Deep Devotion [v. 7-10, Phil. 3:8-10]
3. A Passionate Dedication [v. 11-14, Phil. 3:11-21]
