I. THE DEVOTED MOTHER

 

1. She was a Disciple [v. 5-6, Luke 14:26]

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot ° be my disciple.

 

2. She Was a Discerner [v. 39-45, Hebrews 5:14]

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

 

3. She was Determined [v. 57-63, 1 Corinthians 2:2]

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

 

II. THE FAITHFUL MOTHERS [2 TM. 1]

 

1. Their Faith was Known [v. 1-5]

2. Their Faith was Real [v. 5]

3. Their Faith was Shared [v. 5]

 

III. THE ENCOURAGING MOTHER [ACTS]

 

1. She Encouraged Faithfulness [12:12]

2. She Encouraged Prayerfulness [12:12]

3. She Encouraged Service [12:25]
