JUDGES 11, HEBREWS 11:32-34

1. The World Denies Our Heritage [v. 1-3]

 

2. The World Desires Our Help [v. 4-6]

 

3. The World Despises Our Honor [v. 7-8]

 

II. THE CHRISTIAN AND THE WORK [v. 9-13]

 

1. There Should Be a Lasting Pay-off [v. 9-10]

 

2. There Should be a Heavenly Approval [v. 11, Eph. 5:10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

 

3. There Should Be a Sweet Reasonableness [v. 12-13, 1 Tm. 3:7, 2 Tm. 2:24, Titus 1:7]

 

-Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

-And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

-For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

 

III. THE CHRISTIAN AND THE WORD

 

1. The Christian Ought Be Able to Share the Word [v. 14-28]

 

2. The Christian Ought Be Able to be Strengthened by the Word [v. 29-33]

 

3. The Christian Ought Be Able to Stand by the Word [v. 34-40]
