ACTS 27:1-10
Pastor Rick Jackson
Sometimes we don't learn certain lessons unless they are
taught to us by a storm. Now it’s better if we can learn it from the Word, but
as this passage shows, some people don't listen to the Word. Let us not be of
that group.
THE STORM TEACHES US:
1. Experts are Not always Right [v. 11]
2. Inconvenience isn't your Biggest Problem [v. 12]
3. Circumstances are not the best Indicators of Action
[v. 13]
4. We are Not in Charge [v. 14-15]
5. Sometimes an Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of
Cure [v. 16-17a]
6. Our Value System may Need Adjusting [v. 17b-19]
7. Faith in man is Not as secure as Faith in God [v.
20-23]
8. The Christian, in the will of God, is Unsinkable
[v. 24]
9. The Christian must Not take God's Will for Granted
[v. 25-32]
10. God will Not do for you what you can do for yourself
[v. 33-44]
