JOHN
3:10-21
Pastor Rick Jackson
I. THE UNCONDEMNING
CHRIST
1. Forgiving Not Condemning [Jn. 8:10-11]
2. Interceding Not Condemning [Rm. 8:34]
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea
rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also
maketh intercession for us.
3. Chastening not Condemning [1 Cor. 11:32]
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that
we should not be condemned with the world.
II. THE CONDEMNING
CHRIST
1. All Judgment Committed Unto Him [John 5:22]
2. He Will Judge in Righteousness [Acts 17:31]
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge
the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath
given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
3. He Will Judge Men by their Works [Rm. 2:16, Rev.
20:12-13]
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus
Christ according to my gospel.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and
the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and
death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged
every man according to their works.
III. THE CONDEMNED
CHRIST
1. Sent to Save [Jn. 3:17-18, 12:47]
2. Sentenced to Die [Mt. 20:18, 27:3; 2 Cor. 5:14]
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be
betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn
him to death,
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was
condemned, repented himself…
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus
judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
3. Set to Return [2 Tm. 4:1, Rev. 19:11]
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus
Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his
kingdom;
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he
that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth
judge and make war.
