I. THE BLESSED MAN

 

1. Saved & Separated [v. 1, 2 Cor. 6:14-18]

2. Saved & Saturated [v. 2, 2 Cor. 6:1-10]

3. Saved & Stablished [v. 3, Colossians 2:7]

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

 

II. THE UNGODLY MAN

 

1.  Not Stable [v. 4, James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.]

2 Peter 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

2.  Not Standing [v. 5, Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Mt. 12:25

3.  Not Saved [v. 6, Jn. 3:16]

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

 

III. THE SIMPLE DIFFERENCE

 

1. The God of the Book [v. 1, 4-6]

2. The Book of God [v. 2]

3. The Faith of the Book [Heb. 11:1-6, Jude 3]
