I. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE LORD [v. 1-7]

1. The Lord Keeps His Word [v. 1]

2. The Lord Keeps His Timetable [v. 2]

3. The Lord Keeps His Covenants [v. 3-7]

1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come ° upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

II. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE FLESH [v. 8-21]

1. The flesh is not compatible with the spirit [v. 8-9, Gal. 4:28-29]

2. The flesh is not conducive with freedom [v. 10-11, Gal. 4:22-27]

3. The flesh is not conquered with ease [v. 12, Gal. 4:30-5:1]

4. The flesh is not concerned with the hereafter [v. 13-21, Gal. 5:16-17, 6:7-8]

III. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE WORLD [v. 22-34]

1. The world doesn't trust God [v. 22-24]

2. The world has it's own agenda [v. 25-26]

3. The world is temporary [v. 27-34, Heb. 11:9-10]
