1. POSITIONAL SANCTIFICATION -at salvation
Colossians 1:13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
I Th. 1:5-6 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
2. PROGRESSIVE SANCTIFICATION -ongoing daily, lifelong process of yielding
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
3. PERFECT SANCTIFICATION -perfect Heavenly body without a sin nature [Eph. 5:26, 27]
