Them Receive Their Comforter
[v. 22, 14:16-20,
15:26-27, 7:38-39]
-And I will
pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide
with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth
with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to
you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because
I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father,
and ye in me, and I in you.
-But when
the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the
Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And
ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
-He that
believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers
of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on
him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus
was not yet glorified.)
