I. LOVE FIRST – THE COMMAND
[MARK 12:28-34]
1. The Direct Contrast [v. 28-31, 1 John 2:15] Love not the
world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the
love of the Father is not in him.
2. The Deity Command [v. 32-33, Ps. 2: 11-12] Serve the LORD
with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye
perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all
they that put their trust in him.
3. The Dire Consequences [v. 34, Ps. 2: 11-12]
II. LOVED FIRST – THE
CAUSE [1 JOHN 4:7-19]
