I. AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EXAMINATION [v. 20-25]
1. Are You Saved?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves . Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2. Are You Sanctified?
2 Chronicles 35:6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
3. Are You Surrendered?
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
II. AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EXHORTATION [v. 26-29]
1. The Body Broken [v. 26, 1 Corinthians 11:24]
2 The Blood Bestowed [v. 27-28]
3 The Book Beloved [v. 29, Joshua 1:8]
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
