QUOTES OF THE WEEK

You don't go into a field [of ministry] because of a need. You don't go into a field because of an open door. You go because God called you! - Missionary J.T. Lyons

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to an all-knowing God. - J.R. Faulkner

Is the life I'm living worth the price He paid for it? - Greg Trentham

If you mess with the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit is going to mess with you. If you grieve the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit is going to grieve you! - Greg Trentham

When a Christian sins we lose communion not union, fellowship not relationship. - J. Don Jennings

One day He will say "Well done" IF we've done well. He's not a liar. - E.C. Sheehan

There's not a single thing in this world that you need more as a Christian than simple everyday Bible faith. - Lee Roberson

The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration but its donation. - Corrie Ten Boom

It's faith in God that gives you roses in December. - Lee Roberson

The remarkable thing about fearing God, is that, when you fear God, you fear nothing else; whereas, if you do not fear God, you fear everything else. - Oswald Chambers

Someone has said, "The man who walks with God always gets to his destination." - Lee Roberson

Almost in the lifetime of some of the youngest ones in this auditorium you may drive down Union Ave or Orchard Knob and say, "That's the Highland Park Baptist Church that used to be. They used to have crowds there on Sunday night! It's empty now. There used to be a good school there, Tennessee Temple Schools, and you can see some of the remains stuck around here now. That's all that's left. It's all gone, every bit of it!"
And it will be gone- unless we come back to say, "O God, we're putting Jesus first in our lives!" And if we ever depart from the faith, then I hope Tennessee Temple or Highland Park Baptist Church dies, all of it.
I don't care about living unless I can live according to the Word of God. Let the church die! Let the schools die! Let everything die- unless we hold to the Book! My friend, if you hold to the Word of God, it's not going to die! This is the great call of this hour. This is the need of our time, that we come back to Him, and establish ourselves on the foundation of knowing that Jesus Christ is our Saviour and that Heaven is our home, and we belong to the family of God, and God is blessing us, and will bless us more, if we draw back to Him. - Lee Roberson [pg. 66, The Key to a Changed Life, Sword of the Lord Publishers, 1978]
