THE TABERNACLE- A PORTRAIT OF CHRIST (5)

EXODUS 29

Pastor Rick Jackson

This lesson continues on those who would be working in and around the tabernacle. Everything about the Tabernacle pointed to the Lord Jesus Christ.

I. THE LORD’S SELECTION [v. 1-9]

1. Must be Cleansed to Represent Jesus [v. 1-4]

2. Must be Clothed to Represent Jesus [v. 5-6, 8-9, Zechariah 3]

3. Must be Completely Yielded to Represent Jesus [v. 7, Ps. 133:1-2]

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

II. THE LORD’S SACRIFICES [v. 10-28]

1. Picturing a Life-changing Salvation [v. 10-14]

2. Picturing a Life of Sacrifice [v. 15-18, Romans 12:1]

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

3. Picturing a Life of Service [v. 19-28, Philippians 2:17]

Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

III. THE LORD’S SHADOWS [v. 29-46, Heb. 10:1-4]

1. A Continual Consecration (Dedication) [v. 29-37]

2. A Continual Offering [v. 38-42]

3. A Continual Sanctification [v. 43-46]

HEBREWS 7:23-28
