I. UNDERSTANDING WHEN
1. UNDERSTAND THIS WASN'T ALWAYS THE CASE
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
2. UNDERSTAND THIS BEGAN ON RESURRECTION SUNDAY (NOT PENTECOST)
John 7:38-39 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

3. UNDERSTAND THIS HAPPENS NOW AT SALVATION [EPH. 1:12-14]
II. ACCEPT WHO
1. ACCEPT THAT EVERY CHRISTIAN IS INDWELT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
Rm. 8:9-11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you
2. ACCEPT THAT EVEN CARNAL CHRISTIANS ARE INDWELT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT [I Co. 2:12-3:4]
3. ACCEPT THAT EVERY CHRISTIAN IS THE TEMPLE OF GOD [I Cor. 6:19]
III. BE AWARE WHY
1. BE AWARE THAT CHRISTIANS ARE INDWELT TO GLORIFY GOD [I Cor. 6:19-20]
2. BE AWARE THAT CHRISTIANS ARE INDWELT TO GRANT PROTECTION [I Jn. 4:1-4]
3. BE AWARE THAT CHRISTIANS ARE INDWELT TO GUARANTEE SECURITY [Eph. 1:13-19, 4:30]
