GOD (THE FATHER) HASN’T CHANGED

Think of that. The unchanging Father. NO variableness! NO shadow of turning (turning can be so slow has to be imperceptible but the shadows tell the story). What a blessing to know that God hasn’t changed!

I. GOD HASN’T CHANGED

1. His love hasn’t changed (John 3:16, I Jn. 4:7-12)

2. His longing hasn’t changed (Rom. 5:8, II Pet. 3:9)

3. His loyalty hasn’t changed (I Cor. 1:9, 10:13)

II. GOD’S WORD HASN’T CHANGED

1. Same comfort (II Cor. 1:3-4, Rm. 15:4)

2. Same hope (Rm. 15:4, Acts 26:6, )

3. Same promises (Gal. 3:16, II Pt. 1:4)

III. CHURCH MEMBERSHIP HASN’T CHANGED

When we moved to Tennessee we joined the Highland Park Baptist Church. Before the next Wednesday night they had a “new members class” which Dr. Lee Roberson taught. He stressed five things in that class that he shared with new members for over 40 years as pastor there.

1. Attend church
2. Read the Bible
3. Pray
4. Be a witness
5. Give

These things haven't changed. Every born again Christian ought be a member of a good Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church and be faithful in these 5 areas.
