Isaiah 45:5
Pastor Rick

I. THE KING
OF KINGS [v. 1-5, 13-14]
Is. 44:28
That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even
saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation
shall be laid.
Is. 45:1
Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden,
to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open
before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
Ez. 1:1-2
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the
mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus
king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put
it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of
heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to
build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Dan. 1:21
And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
II. THE GOD
AND SAVIOUR OF ISRAEL [v. 3-4, 15-17, 25]
III. THE ONLY
TRUE GOD [v. 5-6, 43:11, 44:6-8, Hosea 13:4]
Yet I am the
LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for
there is no saviour beside me.
IV. CHRIST
THE CREATOR [v. 7, 9-12, 18, Jn. 1:1-3]
In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The
same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without
him was not any thing made that was made.
V. THE AUTHOR
OF SALVATION [v. 8, 22, 24, Heb. 5:9, 12:2]
-And being
made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey
him;
-Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right
hand of the throne of God.
VI. THE GOD
WHO SPEAKS [v. 19-21, 23]
