2 SAMUEL 12:13-23

I. THE ANSWER
OF DAVID
1. David was
Saved [Romans 4:6-8]
Even as
David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth
righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are
forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will
not impute sin.
2. David was
Certain [2 Sm. 12:23] David was certain he would see his son again.
But now he
is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to
him, but he shall not return to me.
3. David was
Scriptural [1 Corinthians 13:12]
For now we
see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but
then shall I know even as also I am known.
II. THE ARGUMENT
FROM PAUL [1 COR. 15:21-22]
For since by
man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam
all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1. Whatever we
lost in Adam is given back free in Christ
2. No-one
goes to Hell because of the taint of inherited sin [Ezekiel 18:20]
The soul
that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father,
neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the
righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon
him.
3. The Child
or Childlike Person is “Safe” though Not Technically “Saved” [Isaiah 7:15-16]
Butter and
honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For
before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land
that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
A baby, or
young child, or a severely mentally retarded person from early youth who is not
conscious of sin and does not choose between right and wrong would not be lost
because he has gained back in Christ whatever was lost in Adam.
-one who was
accountable and then lost their mental faculties [senility, an accident, etc.]
would remain in whatever state [saved or lost] he was in before losing his mind
-the
so-called “age of accountability” is somewhat fluid. It is not a scriptural
term. Not 12 or 20 or any specific age. When a person intentionally sins and
could receive/reject Christ.
III. THE ARROGANCE
OF ABORTIONISTS
1. The Myth that They Send Millions to Heaven
-Aren’t they
Condemning Millions to Hell?
-how many
cures did they prevent?
-how many
soul-winners have they murdered? [Moody, Rice, Roberson, E.J. Daniels, the
preacher responsible for my salvation]
2. God’s
Choice Not Man’s [Ex. 21:22-25]
If men
strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet
no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's
husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any
mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for
tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound,
stripe for stripe.
3. Only God Knows
the Future [Isaiah 46:10]
Declaring
the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet
done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
