MAKE BIBLE DECISIONS

Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Pastor Rick Jackson

I. MAKE BASIC BIBLE DECISIONS

1. Make the Decision to Trust Christ as Saviour [Acts 16:30-31, 26:28-29]

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost , and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

2. Make the Decision to Trust Christ as Saviour Now [Isaiah 1:18, 2 Cor. 6:2]

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

3. Make the Decision to Trust Christ as Saviour Public [Rm. 10:9-13]

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

II. MAKE BETTER BIBLE DECISIONS

1. Make the Decision to Serve Christ Happily [Jn. 13:13-17]

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

2. Make the Decision to Serve Christ Humbly [Micah 6:8]

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

3. Make the Decision to Serve Christ Holily [1 Th. 2:10-12]

Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you , as a father doth his children, That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

III. MAKE BOLD BIBLE DECISIONS

1. Make the Decision to Live for Christ Earnestly [James 5:17, Jude 1:3]

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

2. Make the Decision to Live for Christ Energetically [Acts 18:25,  Romans 12:11]

This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

3. Make the Decision to Live for Christ Expectantly [Titus 2:13,  Jude 1:21]

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
