LUKE 5:1-39

You cannot have true fellowship without true followship.

 

I. THE GROWTH OF FAITH [v. 1-11]

 

1. The Friendliness of Small Faith [v. 1-3, John 15:14]

 

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

 

2. The Foolishness of Small Faith [v. 4-7, 12:28]

 

If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

 

3. The Forsaking of Small Faith [v. 8-11]

 

-Nothing wrong with the 1^st grade- you just shouldn’t want to stay there for too long.

 

II. THE GLORY OF FAITH [v. 12-26]

 

1. Faith Seeks God’s Willingness [v. 12-16, James 1:6]

 

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

 

2. God Sees Faith’s Desire [v. 17-20]

 

3. Faith Glorifies God [v. 21-26]

 

III. THE GRACE OF FAITH [v. 27-39]

 

1. Christ Invites Christians to be Sold-Out [v. 27-28]

 

2. Christ Invites the Lost to be Saved [v. 29-32]

 

3. Christ Explanation to the Critics [v. 33-39] There is a time to feast & a time to fast.
