PLAN BETTER OR THE BETTER PLAN?

Numbers 14:3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

Psalm 118:8-9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Proverbs 15:16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.

I. GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION IS BETTER! [Mt. 18:1-11, Heb. 1:4, 7:19, 22; 8:6, 9:23, 12:24]

Think about it...

1. It works -- you don't! [Rm. 1:16, Eph. 2:8-9]

2. He saves -- you can't! [Rm. 5:6-11]

3. He finishes -- you wouldn't! [Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ]

II. GOD'S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE IS BETTER!

1. It is the way that's right - Psalm 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

2. It is the way of love - Psalm 63:3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

3. It is the way of quality - Psalm 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

4. It is the way of instruction - Psalm 119:72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

III. GOD'S PLAN FOR ETERNITY IS BETTER!

Hebrews 10:34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

Hebrews 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Philippians 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

the worst meal you ever ate... think of the best... well, in Heaven meals are FAR BETTER!

the worst you ever felt physically... now the best... well, in Heaven you will feel FAR BETTER!

the worst you ever felt mentally... now the best... well, in Heaven you will feel FAR BETTER!

the worst you ever felt emotionally... now the best... well, in Heaven you will feel FAR BETTER!
