I. THE CHIEF SHEPHERD IS THE CREATOR [v. 1-2]

 

1. Owner [v. 1, Ps. 50:8-12]

 

2. Founder [v. 2, Gn. 1:9-10]

Pr. 3:19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

 

3. Establisher [v.2]

Psalms 119:90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

Jeremiah 10:12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
