WHO IS THE LORD?

EXODUS 5:1-2

There are many ways this question has been asked and many ways to answer this question. For our purposes I want to point out three things.

I. THE LORD IS THE SEEKER [Ex. 3:1-6]

1. He Seeks the Fallen [Gn. 3:7-15]

2. He Seeks the Lost [Lk. 15:1-11ff, 19:10]

3. He Seeks for the Disfranchised [Jn. 4, esp. v. 10, 18-26, 28-42]

II. THE LORD IS THE SAVIOUR [Ex. 6:6, 15:13; Psalm 106:21]

1. He Provides a New Destination [2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 3:12, 21:1-5]

2. He Provides a New Direction [Psalm 40:3, Ephesians 4:24

3. He Provides a New Dimension [Ezekiel 11:19, 18:31, 36:26; 2 Cor. 5:17]

III. THE LORD IS THE STEPPER [Ex. 3:5]

1. He Illustrates Our Steps [Rm. 4:1-12ff]

2. He Orders Our Steps [Psalm 37:23]

3. He Exemplified Our Steps [1 Pet. 2:21-25]
