Is your life perfect? Have you been born with a silver spoon
in your mouth and caught all the breaks at just the right time? You may think
others have but there are probably some that think you have it made and
probably always have. As you go through life, and grow through life, and groan
through life you should learn that the light at the end of the tunnel is not as
important as the Light with you in the tunnel. Here’s a Bible Life to
illustrate what we are saying.
I. THE LONELY LIFE OF
LEAH
1. Life with unwanted Comparisons [Gn. 29:16-17]
2. Life as an Unwanted Bride [Gn. 29:23-31]
3. Life with an Unsaved Father [Gn. 31:25-32]
II. THE LOVING LORD
OF LEAH
1. Seen in Her Baby Faith [29:32-34, 1 Cor. 3:1-3]
2. Seen in Her Growing Faith [Gn. 29:35, 30:17-20, 1 Peter
2:2, 2 Peter 3:18]
3. Seen in Her Maturing Faith [Gn. 31:4-16, Jn. 2:5]
III. THE LASTING
LEGACY OF LEAH
1. A Relationship with Jacob [Gn. 49:29-33]
2. A Place of Honor in History [Ruth 4:11]
And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders,
said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house
like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou
worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:
3. An Ancestor of the Messiah [Mt. 1:1-3, 15-17; Lk. 3:23,
33-34]
